Our Three Projects:
Designed with middle school students in mind, our team has created five modules to teach the topics of:
1) What is Misinformation?
2) Social Media
3) Civic Engagement
4) Trusting Journalism
5) "Hate Speech", Inclusivity, and Kindess
Each module has its own Powerpoint presentation and completed lesson plan. We are currently retrofitting the course as a Canvas Commons course. Check our news tab for updates!
We've drafted a Pledge for Election Integrity and asked the Utah gubernatorial candidates to sign it. Simply put, its a pledge to refrain from using misinformation tactics in their respective campaigns.

We invited University of Utah students to enter three different challenges to test their knowledge and skills on combatting misinformation.Those who entered the challenges were entered for a chance to win a cash prize of up to $500.00.
